SUMMARY:Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Implementation Research (IR)
DESCRIPTION:\nEnhance your capacity to design and implement research that i
mproves access to effective health interventions\, particularly for diseas
es of poverty such as malaria\, tuberculosis\, neglected tropical diseases
  (NTDs)\, and other infectious diseases.\n\n\n\nCourse Details\n\n\n\n\nCo
 urse Period: 6 April – 1 June 2026\n\n\n\nRegistration Deadline: 3 April
  2026\n\n\n\nDuration: 6 weeks\n\n\n\nModules: 5 structured modules\n\n\n\
 nCost: FREE\n\n\n\n\nCourse Overview\n\n\n\nImplementation Research (IR) f
ocuses on identifying and addressing bottlenecks that limit the uptake of
effective public health interventions. It supports the development of prac
tical strategies to ensure interventions reach target populations and achi
eve intended outcomes. This includes overcoming barriers to the adoption o
f drugs\, diagnostics\, and preventive measures for conditions such as mal
aria\, tuberculosis\, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs)\, and other infec
 tious diseases.\n\n\n\nThis MOOC provides structured\, step-by-step traini
ng on designing robust IR projects. Participants will learn to:\n\n\n\n\nI
dentify implementation challenges in diverse health settings\n\n\n\nAssess
the suitability of existing interventions\n\n\n\nDevelop and refine imple
mentation strategies with stakeholders\n\n\n\nFormulate relevant IR questi
ons\n\n\n\nDesign and evaluate research projects\n\n\n\nPlan for scaling u
 p effective interventions\n\n\n\n\nWhat You Will Gain\n\n\n\n\nAccess to 2
6 instructional videos delivered by 12 international speakers\n\n\n\nInsig
hts and practical guidance from 26 research experts across 16 countries\n\
n\n\nFoundational knowledge and applied skills in implementation research
 design\n\n\n\n\nParticipation Benefits\n\n\n\n\nCertificate of completion
upon successful fulfilment of course requirements\n\n\n\nEngagement in mod
erated discussion forums with global IR experts\n\n\n\nOpen to all partici
pants\; no prior technical or scientific background required (health-relat
 ed experience is advantageous)\n\n\n\n\nParticipation Information\n\n\n\n\
nFree enrolment \n\n\n\nCertificate of completion available \n\n\n\nLangua
ge: English (with subtitles in English\, French\, and Spanish) \n\n\n\nEst
imated effort: 2.5 hours per week \n\n\n\nInteractive discussion forums av
ailable for peer and expert engagement\n\n\n\n\nEligibility\n\n\n\n\nOpen
to all participants\n\n\n\nNo technical or scientific background required
 (health background is advantageous)\n\n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n\n\nSecure yo
ur place via the following link:https://app.tdrmooc.org/authoring/course/c
 ourse-v1:TDR+IR101en+2026_Apr_WPR\n\n\n\nThis course represents a practica
l entry point into implementation research\, with relevance for strengthen
ing programme delivery and health system performance. Continued participat
ion in such initiatives can contribute to building a more responsive and e
 vidence-driven public health workforce.\n
