SUMMARY:CEBP Workshop Series | Effect Modification – Interaction\, Interp
 retation and Applied Examples
DESCRIPTION:\nThe Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Practice (CEBP
)\, Faculty of Medicine\, Universiti Malaya\, will be organising the fourt
h session of the CEBP Workshop series titled “Effect Modification: Inter
action\, Interpretation and Applied Examples.”\n\n\n\nThis session will
explore the concept of effect modification and interaction in epidemiologi
cal research. Participants will learn how to interpret effect modification
and apply these concepts using practical examples commonly encountered in
public health and clinical research.\n\n\n\n🗓 Dates: 19 June 2026 (Fri
 day)🕘 Time: 9.00 am – 12.00 pm MYT📍 Venue: SPM Computer Lab\, Facu

2005\, Dr Rampal has advanced Malaysia’s public health research capacit
y\, focusing on the epidemiology and prevention of cardiovascular and meta
bolic diseases\, cancer\, and communicable diseases such as dengue. His me
thodological expertise spans research design\, biostatistics\, and causal
 inference. He has published 122 peer-reviewed papers (h-index: 38 WOS\, 39
SCOPUS) and supervised over 65 postgraduate students.\n\n\n\nDr Rampal ha
s held major leadership roles\, including Deputy Dean (Research) and Head

 n. \n\n\n\nWith a penchant for data-driven solutions\, Dr Vivek has been i
nvolved in developing and implementing mathematical\, time-series\, and ma
chine-learning models to forecast the spread of infectious diseases\, incl
uding dengue\, COVID-19\, and hand\, foot and mouth disease (HFMD). He str
ongly advocates the integration of data and compassion in creating a promi
sing future in healthcare. He relentlessly strives to reduce the time gaps
in data-driven solutions within the realm of infectious disease and healt
h systems\, working to shape a world where technology and humanity meet to
improve health outcomes.\n\n\n\nDr Vivek dedicates himself to community o
utreach with great passion. He led the team to set up pour flush pit latri
