Congratulation Debbie Ann Loh for winning the British Council scholarship “Women in STEM”

The department would like to congratulate Debbie Ann Loh for winning the British Council scholarship “Women in STEM”. This programme funds women to study STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programmes in UK universities which covers tuition fees, travel costs, visas, and health insurance.

Debbie was one of our Master in Medical Science (Research) candidates under the supervision of Professor Dr Moy Foong Ming from 2011 to 2014.  Her research topic was “Predictors of obesity, eating behaviour and health-related quality of life among overweight/obese adolescents”.

The experience and the exposure gained in this department had increased Debbie’s interest in the public health field. Debbie will embark on her journey of passion and dream in the field of international public health for the International Public Health programme at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) with this scholarship.
