The Cochrane Library is a collection of databases in medicine and other healthcare specialities provided by Cochrane and other organizations. At its core is the collection of Cochrane Reviews, a database of systematic reviews and meta-analyses which summarize and interpret the results of medical research.
The National Institutes of Health, Ministry of Health has successfully subscribed to Cochrane National License. With this, we can get access to all full text under Cochrane Library for free download nationwide. Everyone can access this database from anywhere in Malaysia.
The effort to convince Malaysia to subscribe to the Cochrane National License was a long one. It started many years back, with the lead from Cochrane Malaysia. One of those efforts was arranging courtesy visits of Mark Wilson the CEO of Cochrane Collaboration to meet with Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam the Honorable Minister of Health Malaysia back in June 2017.
