Adaptive policy on COVID-19

Malaysia have achieved good results in their effort in the control of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of June 24, there were 8,590 confirmed cases and daily reported new cases is now in single digit. However, about 99.9% of our population is still susceptible to this disease, and even if we managed to eradicate it in our country, an imported case may cause another outbreak.

There is a need for SOP to be able to adapt and account for the intensity of community transmission.

In a letter to the Star newspaper, Prof Sanjay Rampal provides further insight into the issue.
