In an interview with the BH Online news portal which was published on the 8th April 2020, Professor Datuk Awang Bulgiba Awang Mahmud has reiterated his earlier stand that the Movement Control Order which came into effect on the 16 March 2020 will be extended. He said that it will take between six and eight weeks of the MCO for it to be effective. The duration of the MCO will depend on whether there will be a reduction in the number of COVID-19 cases.
