The movement control order which came into effect on the 18 March 2020 and it is supposed to end on the 31 March 2020. However, according to our very own Prof Datuk Awang Bulgiba Awang Mahmud, in the interview with the New Strait Times, it may last for up to six weeks. He further adds in another interview with the MalayMail, “The 14-day MCO may be inadequate. If it is successful and we see a decline in new infections, we still need to extend it as we want the numbers to come down to zero or a number that is small and manageable”.
