Professor Awang Bulgiba and Dr Victor Hoe were inducted as an ordinary member to the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia in conjunction with the 42nd Malaysia-Singapore Congress of Medicine which was held in the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur from the 31st July to 3rd August 2008.
During the congress, Dr Victor Hoe and Dr Moy Foong Ming from the Department along with Professor Christina Tan and Professor Rosmawati Mohamed from Faculty of Medicine also presented a paper on “The Cardiovascular Risks Among Shifts And Non-Shifts Workers In A Public Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur
