The Department conducted an Entrance Evaluation for Master of Public Health candidates from the Ministry of Health on 13th December 2007 for the 2008 July intake. There were 21 Medical Officer and Medical and Health Officer from all over Malaysia who attempted the evaluation.
It was followed by a meeting with the Assoc Prof Awang Bulgiba the Head of Department and Assoc Prof Dato S Noor Ghani the Postgraduate programme coordinator for the Department, staff from SPM and current master candidates. Assoc Prof Dato S Noor Ghani also gave a short introduction to the University of Malaya and the Master of Public Health programme. The entrance evaluation is conducted annually for candidates from the Ministry of Health to gauge their understanding of the current public health issues.
