The Nursing Research Steering Group of UMMC with the collaboration of the Medical Statistics Unit of the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine has successfully completed the “SPSS Hands-On Workshop” from 6-8 March 2007. The workshop was conducted at the Faculty of Medicine’s Multi-disciplinary Computer Laboratory (MD1).
The attendee of the workshop included Bachelor of Nursing students, nursing researchers and academicians from UMMC.
The topics covered in the workshop were data management and data transformation, data summary and inferential statistics on continuous and categorical data, correlation and regression. These lectures were followed by hands-on sessions.
Associate Professor Dr Awang Bulgiba, Dr Sanjay Rampal and Ms Moy Foong Ming were the invited speakers while Ms Lee Pek Ling and Mr Mohd Roshidi Ismail acted as facilitators in the workshop.
