Aceh Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project

The Aceh Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project is a joint project undertaken by the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya (FOM) and the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS). Associate Professor Saimy Ismail, Dr Victor Hoe Chee Wai and Dr Sanjay Rampal represented the SPM department in the recent visit to one of the adopted villages, Desa Blang Mangat which is situated on the east coast of the Aceh Province. The general objective of this exercise was to assist in the reconstruction of the health services and to empower the villagers towards being self reliant in health issues.

The Occupational Medicine Clinic is a referral clinic for occupational diseases and is open on every Friday in University Malaya Medical Centre.
