The Department and its three centres; Julius Centre University of Malaya (JCUM), Centre for Population Health (CePH) and Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health-UM (COEH-UM) successfully organised a series of exhibition, lectures and workshop on the 22 January 2013 in-conjunction with the Faculty of Medicine 50-years celebration - Research Week 21-23 January 2013. Those events were well attended by students, researchers and clinicians from the private sectors, Ministry of Health, University of Malaya and other universities.

The Occupational Medicine Clinic is a referral clinic for occupational diseases and is open on every Friday in University Malaya Medical Centre.
